Here is the modified version of the 1024 format page layout for the home page of your site
Changes made:
:: Main nav: made it bigger and the type is now bolder
:: Side Nav: Added 'media' to ethnic
:: Main banner: The red banner has been modified. Once the design has been finalized you can use any image of your choice..
:: Our Audience box: I modified the content within the 'Our Audience' box with reference to the information you gave me
More ideas: Each of the flash images that will change in the main banner could be a an image/illustration/icon of each media type you represent
