neat!
- content background. I remain concerned that the bg image behind the main content will be distracting... but I do like the idea... maybe try softening the pattern? (esp. the slashes at the bottom)
- the left side column is actually going to contain the nav links, e.g. "my account", an advanced search box, etc. The current design doesn't leave enough space. Maybe try vertically flipping the rose, i.e. bud on top, stem on bottom -- then let the stem run further down the page, behind the navlinks. Please change the leftnav sample text to be navlinks.
- rightnav: same problem-- I was hoping to utilize more of the upper-rightnav area for promos e.g. "hot" listings, etc.
- logo: I was hoping to keep the logo tucked away in the upper-left corner, same width as the leftnav (200px), leaving room for alerts above the main content (see leswap:3000/ for an example)
- sorry for the late feedback: the pink stripes behind the roses aren't very "french garden" -- they seem more american...
- the gray bg is getting there, but again I think we could get closer to 'french garden' with another color. I'm terrible at color picking, but perhaps a very light lavender?
